European University of Armenia (previously called European Educational Regional Academy) was established on October 15, 2001, according to the RA Government Decree N 978, on the basis of Agreements between the RA Government and Higher Education Institutions from Germany, France and Italy. It is a university with the participation of the State. Since 2018 EUA, being the only university from the RA, has been a member of the European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE) with the aim of increasing university’s competitiveness at the national and European levels. Education in EUA is organized in accordance with the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) toolkit (Qualification Frameworks, ECTS, ESG and Diploma Supplement). The education process in EUA is carried out in two languages – Armenian and English.
